Plant grow light comparison project propagates into additional plant-related videos

While planning a project comparing plant lights, we coincidentally found this collection of tropical succulents on clearance at a nursery. Leggy and unsightly, we bought them for a song, and now will be combining the plant light project with instructional videos on propagating and saving tropical succulents.

After a long hiatus due to some professional writing projects, we’re back with more content in the pipeline for the Rainforeststationpets.com website.

First up: with a Midwest winter bearing down on us, our first project is going to be comparing inexpensive plant lights to see which ones will keep our plants alive through their indoor relocation – our unheated sun room, which provides a great environment for them during spring, summer, and part of fall will soon be too cold for tropical plants to survive.

In a timely coincidence, we also came across a large selection of tropical succulents that were being sold at clearance because they had gotten too leggy from the inadequate lighting where they were displayed at the store.

So, not only will be comparing plant lights, we’ll be diving into propagating succulents and saving specimens that have suffered neglect.

Stay tuned!
