The White's Tree Frog, Litoria caerulea, may be the best known frog in the pet hobby. Nicknamed "Dumpy" frogs because of their tendency toward obesity, these gentle giants are great pets. They are calm and not easily startled, and can be handled occasionally.
These frogs don't like it as humid as many tree frogs, but still need a pool of water to soak.
Our breeding colony are of the Indonesian subspecies, and our biggest female is over 70 grams, most of which is probably eggs. Usually these guys need a pretty big enclosure to breed, but we are keeping our fingers crossed when they go into the rain chamber.
We won't sell wild-caught White's, so unless we can get a captive-bred supply, they won't be available until ours produce young.
