Experience level: Beginner
Temperatures of 70-80º F during the day with drops as low as 65º F at night are recommend. 70-80% humidity.
Native to Surinam
Some morph guides lump together the Alanis and infer-Alanis morphs of Tinctorius, but since these were originally sold as infer-Alanis, we are using that name.
As with most tinctorius, these are outgoing frogs, often coming to the front of the viv when they see a person, hoping for a snack.

Larger frogs, Tinctorius require a good amount of floor space. Pairs of frogs should not be kept in vivaria smaller than 10 gallon, with larger tanks preferable an 18x18x18 terrarium would be ideal for a pair or small group.  Groups of frogs should consisting of 2-3 males to a single female.  Female on female aggression, perhaps the most intense of all dendrobatid species, is a serious problem. Housing two sexually mature females can lead to the death of the non-dominant frog.
